The Lamborghini Urus vs the Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport
Today on the Throttle House Drag Strip, the Lamborghini Urus faces off against the Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport. Both vehicles come equipped with powerful V8’s and four wheel drive. They have also both shown us their prowess on the drag strip and have already taken on some serious competition. Although the Urus is at a bit of a power disadvantage, it looks to more than hold its own against the Shelby super truck.
Costing nearly $350,000 CAD, this Urus is significantly more expensive than its competition. The privilege of commanding 770 horsepower at your feet in the Shelby will run you a cool $120,000 CAD. It will also allow you to be the lighter vehicle with more horsepower if you ever pull up next to an Urus at a stoplight. But isn’t there more to a drag race than just power to weight ratio? First a Drag Race, Then a Roll Race
As always, Thomas and James conduct these races in the name of science. And big loud engines. In this case science dictates that the drag race must be first conducted from a dig, and then from a roll. That way both vehicles are given a fighting chance in multiple scenarios. The Lamborghini Urus has a distinct advantage off the line due to its included launch control. Whereas the Shelby Super Snake Sport will look to make up for it’s lack of launch control through a power and weight advantage.
