The 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 S

The 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 S has seen a facelift for this year. Today the guys have it out in sedan form next to an older E63 AMG from more than a decade earlier. The questions being asked today include: how does the new E63 S drive in comparison to the older one, and just how much AMG can you get for $25,000 Canadian? The 2021 E63 S has a power advantage over the newer one, with its 4.0L V8 biturbo putting out a whopping 603 horsepower. But it has as weight disadvantage of over 400 pounds. The older E63 has a mighty 6.2 L naturally aspirated V8 that is no slouch for power either. It is rated at a fearsome 507 horsepower.

But how far has Mercedes-AMG come on the E63 platform, and is it worth buying new over the old ones with the larger engine? Watch to see what the guys think. We hope you enjoy the episode!

The New vs Old Series on Throttle House

The New vs Old series is always an exciting part of Throttle House. It allows the guys to compare the same model of car across different generations. Quite often you would expect the newer car to be undeniably better, but oftentimes the older ones capture the heart in a different way. Thomas and James spend time examining what each car means in its own right, and choose which of the two they would rather take home. Let us know what you would choose in the comments!
