The 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost
The new Rolls-Royce Ghost is a bastion of luxury, comfort and class. Thomas and James take their time to examine, evaluate, and enjoy how this car drives and the experience it provides its passengers. For a pricey $400,000, the Rolls-Royce Ghost offers a unique platform that is only available for a rolls, and a bespoke design unique to each buyer – or ‘client’ as Rolls’ prefers. It has a lush V12 that outputs a strong 563 horsepower in a wonderfully smooth and enjoyable fashion.
As a mid-sized Rolls, the Ghost also comes with the claim that it is equally focused on driver and passenger enjoyment. Thomas and James put this to the test, as they take turns driving each other around while the other fiddles with the gadgets in the back. Do you think it commands its price tag? Watch and decide!
The Dampers Have Dampers
In the quest for the best ride imaginable, the Rolls-Royce Ghost employs a number of strategies to maintain the car’s composure over any terrain. Among those is the flag-bearer. An intelligent system that uses a front mounted camera in conjunction with the car’s air suspension, reading the road to prepare the car for each bump and groove. It also uses a GPS system that suggests the correct gear for the car to use in each corner and straight. But despite all these features, Rolls decided it still wasn’t enough. So they added a damper to the damper. No that is not a typo – the actual suspension of the car has its own mini-suspension built in! This helps create that unbelievably luscious ride that the Ghost is able to provide.
