Thomas’ E46 M3 vs James’ Mazda MX-5 Miata
Throttle House viewers have long requested the E46 M3 vs Miata race. In celebration of reaching 1 Million subscribers on YouTube, Thomas and James pit their own cars against one another. The guys would first off like to thank everyone who has made the 1 Million milestone possible. Friends and family for their support. Dealers, manufacturers, and even owners who lend their car to be featured in a video. And of course to the subscribers and viewers on YouTube for their unrelenting ability to put up with the guys’ ridiculous antics.
The MX-5 Miata: James’ One True Love
James loves his Miata. For him, it is the answer to any question – no matter how big or small. His MX-5 is lightly modified, but looks almost stock next to Thomas’ E46 M3. James has made an axle back exhaust upgrade and some aesthetic mods. His handwritten spec sheet says that each mod should be good for at least a couple hundred horsepower. Especially the vibrant blue wrap that Thomas later copied to cover up his horrendous Phoenix Yellow paint. Either way, James believes his Miata is poised to take down Thomas’ bimmer in several different types of drag races. The guys have come up with a unique race specifically designed for their two cars – watch to see who wins!
The E46 M3: Thomas’ Journey of Repairs
Thomas’ E46 M3 is like a work of art. A work of art that you get to touch, feel, and experience. Except this particular piece has been around for too long and is starting to show its age. As a result, Thomas spends more time fixing his car in his garage instead of flexing it on the track. In addition to an 8k rpm redline, Thomas looks to use his power advantage to leave James in the dust. But will James’ weight advantage be enough to overcome Thomas’ legendary S54 motor?
